On Monday we watched on the television the whole of the Queen’s funeral, from Westminster to the final service in Windsor Castle.
We are full of admiration for all those who took part in the procession, and of course the hundreds of thousands of people who had waited many hours to watch. It was watching history being made. We found the whole day very emotional.
Last weekend was mum’s birthday, and the day was celebrated with lunch at my sister’s with all the family present.
As mum loves to watch birds in the garden, I decided the Birthday present that I would give her would be a selection of bird food, so I bought some nuts, seeds, fat balls and dried mealworms that our robin that visits daily just adores. Mum was delighted and was soon to be seen out in the garden, filling the bird feeders.
