Scones and Robins | Kate’s Blog

I hope you all had a good Easter; the weather was glorious over the holidays. One day we went for a long walk in Richmond Park followed by afternoon tea of scones, cream and strawberry jam.

For many months now we have been visited daily by a robin and we leave bird food for him on the garden table. The other day, much to our surprise, there he was feeding on the garden table feeding two of his young! It was fascinating to watch them. At this time we have several bird boxes in the garden and they are occupied by Longtails and Blue tits. There is also a nest of blue tits in a hollow in our crab apple tree. We really enjoy watch the coming and going of the birds. At this time of the year there are odd jobs to be done in the garden.

Stay safe everybody, Kate.
