Public transport and the Japanese garden | Kate’s blog

A woman who has Down's syndrome stands in front of a decorative garden pondWe are gradually getting used to traveling by public transport again. On Monday we used both bus and underground using our masks. We felt quite safe as there was good social distancing.

We visited Holland park which is in the borough of Kensington. It a very nice park with lots of walks around beautiful flower beds and historic buildings. There are lots of activities: tennis courts, adventure playgrounds, children’s playgrounds and plenty of places to sit and have lunch.

The highlight was the Japanese garden with a lake, waterfall and peacocks. Being a  bank holiday, there was lots of families there and in the parts it did get a bit crowded. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We certainly did!

Stay safe, love Kate
