Enabled Summer School of the Arts | Kate’s Blog

Last week I went with a friend on a coach to Cheltenham to go to the Salvation Army Enabled Week.

I was looking forward to meeting up with so many old friends. We had a wide choice of activities for the week. Drama, dance, swimming, musical theatre, choral singing, and those with musical instruments could use theirs too.

Each day included being together at mealtimes and then moving on. We had a film evening and karaoke. We could dress up and sing. There was a talent night. I danced to a Michael Bublé song!

On Tuesday we went to the Cotswold’s Wildlife park and enjoyed seeing so many animals. We also had a special coronation celebration. Friends and family could join too. On the morning of the last day, we rehearsed performances for a show.

After lunch we were giving our certificates. We all had a wonderful week but sadly we had to say goodbye and go home. We were tired but happy!

Stay safe everybody

Kate.
