On Sunday I was invited to a friend’s birthday party which was being celebrated in the garden of a local pub. It was beside the River Wandle in Wandsworth.
After the main meal a chocolate birthday cake was brought out on it was a single candle and it burst into hundreds of coloured sparkles! It made us all jump! The cake was delicious; it was a great afternoon.
On the bank holiday my elder brother, his wife and three sons came to visit; we had a lovely roast lunch which was followed by some lovely puddings. A meringue covered with summer fruits and an apple crumble. Some of us had both! It was lovely seeing them all again and catching up with my nephews on how they managed at school, college and university.
On Thursday I went to hospital to have an ultrasound on my ankle. I will let you all know how it goes!
