We recently sat down with Down2Earth magazine editor Kate to ask her some questions…


Why do you think World Down’s Syndrome Day is important?

It’s for people with Down’s syndrome to be noticed and for raising awareness. It is a celebration of people with Down’s syndrome

What do you think that everyone should know about people with Down’s syndrome?

Everyone should be more positive and understanding. Speak clearly and stand up for the rights of people with Down’s syndrome.

Will you be celebrating World Down’s syndrome day?

Yes I am going to wear odd socks from the Down’s syndrome Association to raise awareness.

What is your favourite thing about being editor of the D2E magazine?

My favourite thing about being editor of the D2E magazine is to see the amazing stories by people with Down’s syndrome.

If there a person that inspires you? if so, why do they inspire you?

Enid Blyton. She is a good writer and I enjoy reading her books.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like swimming, creative art, dancing, reading and writing.
