Last Monday was the start of the Baked Bean holiday to Hunstanton.
We all met at our base, the Wilditch Centre. Our transport was in two mini busses and we were accompanied by 5 members of staff when we had packed our luggage off we went. We arrived at our destination The Searles Leisure Resort holiday park late in the afternoon. Our accommodation was in lodges. In mine, were 5 of us including a member of staff. In total, our group had 4 lodges.
After we unpacked we had a meal in the restaurant and then it was off to the disco; what a great beginning.
Each morning we cooked our own breakfast in the lodges and then off on to the activities for the day. We had inter-lodge competitions and on the site we had an indoor swimming pool that I enjoyed using.
There were excursions; we visited Sandringham where the Royal Family often stayed. We also went on a boat trip and saw sea lions popping their heads above the water! Another day we went to the Sea Life Centre and saw the otters and penguins being fed!
After each busy day the whole group would have a meal together and then we would get dressed up to go to the disco to strut our stuff!
Sadly all good things come to an end; we all had a great time and left with some wonderful memories.
