Lisa and Phoebe make beautiful wedding cakes
Do you love getting creative in the kitchen and making cakes to share with your friends?
So did Lisa, and this led to her creating her own highly successful bakery enterprise which she does with her sister Phoebe. Here they share their recipe for success and hope to inspire you to make tasty sweet treats too:
Our Lis is 34 and her sister Phoebe is her enabler. Lis started working at Weirmarsh farm restaurant when she was 16, preparing vegetables. Weirmarsh closed just before Covid and we wanted to find something else Lis would enjoy doing.
As she loved cooking and baking we decided to start making cakes from our kitchen and delivering them to people’s doorsteps during Covid.
This escalated to setting up Lisa’s Cakes and Bakes due to the success and demand throughout this period. Lis started with simple rock buns, muffins, sausage rolls and sponges and this has developed into her creating beautifully decorated wedding and occasion cakes.
