My Filming Experience… | Kate’s blog

by Kate Powell, Down2Earth Magazine editor

A  member of staff from Baked Bean told me about being in The Crown and I  said yes. I  love to that’s how I knew about it.

I  spoke to all the helpers and the crew they were friendly people.

I was looking forward to everything was very excited about it.

On the first day we were shown to the  green room where we could rest and wait to hear our names. The time I got up was 5:00am we went to Redhill in Surrey the building is like a Boarding School it was a old  building so that means it gets cold in different areas.

I saw Helena Bonham Carter waiting to come on set. The costume that I was wearing was a dress and cardigan and later on we had to wear night wear. The ladies from the make up team said I looked perfect. We had to do some acting roles.

We all stayed in a hotel it was cosy beds I shared a room with a friend called Andrea. I was tidy with my clothes.

On our second day we all woke up at 7:00am and to be ready for the day we all had breakfast together the coach was waiting for us outside about 9:30am.

I  really enjoyed the experience it was wonderful time together and talking together. It was a magical feeling inside me.
