Julie is 54. She is a Star Trek fan and likes to watch re-runs of old series featuring her favourite characters Captain Kirk and Chekov. She lives with Lydia and Steve and their four children as part of the Shared Lives scheme. Julie is a busy woman. She works four days a week at a wholefood shop, volunteers at a mother and baby group, and is also a parkrun marshal.

Julie went to live with Lydia and her family three years ago through the Shared Lives scheme whilst her mother was recovering from an operation. Julie fitted in so well with the family that when other plans fell through, she was welcomed with open arms to stay. She loves living with Lydia’s four children and their dog, and is now one of the family.
