How did the Covid-19 pandemic impact the transition into adulthood for young adults with Down Syndrome? Experiences of parents/carers.

For my thesis, I would like to hear from parents/carers of young adults with Down Syndrome. I want to explore what it was like for their young person to become an adult during the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • Are you a parent/carer of a young adult with Down Syndrome?
  • Is your young adult 20-29 years old (and so they were 17-25 years old during the first lockdown in March 2020)?
  • Have you both lived in Wales or England since the first lockdown (March 2020)?

If your answer is ‘yes’ to the questions above, I would love to hear from you.

Please note, I need consent from yourself and your young adult.

If you are interested in taking part, please email me the completed and signed consent forms for yourself and your young adult. If you would like to talk more about my research before deciding to take part, or would like assistance with the forms, please email or call me. We could arrange a video call if this is easier.

Thanks very much for your time and consideration.
