Rapper Aitch celebrates ‘My G’ on new album and supports the DSA

Manchester grime artist Aitch released his first album, ‘Close To Home’ today…and fans and vinyl collectors will love the special edition Vinyl issue of the album with artwork designed by Matt Carroll and his sister Maria.

Thanks to Aitch’s generosity, a minimum to donation of £9 will go to the DSA for every copy of this beautifully designed vinyl edition.

Aitch also filmed the video for the first single release of the album, ‘My G’ (featuring Ed Sheeran), at the Langdon Down Centre.

The song is dedicated to his younger sister Gracie, who has Down’s syndrome.

The heart-warming video was filmed in August and the star has donated £10,000 to the DSA, a significant proportion of the music video budget. The ‘My G’ video provides an insight into Aitch’s family life as it shows the rapper watching a television that illuminates with photos from him and his sisters’ childhood.

We’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Aitch and his team at Capitol Records UK/EMI. We greatly appreciate their support, which is vital to enable us to provide the range of services for people who have Down’s syndrome and also their families and carers and people with an interest in the condition.
