The Down’s Syndrome Association would like to say a huge thank you to John Lewis in Kingston. The store has donated £1,000 to the charity from its Community Matters scheme.
Andrea Bishop from the charity said: “We are hugely grateful to John Lewis in Kingston for this funding. As a charity we don’t receive any direct government support and rely almost entirely on donations. This money will help us continue offering expert advice, support, work opportunities and sporting activities to people with Down’s syndrome.”
Every three months, John Lewis’ Community Matters scheme shares £3000 between three local good causes through a combination of money, products and partners’ volunteering time.
