On Monday, I went to the Langdon down centre where members of the DSA from all over the UK had gathered for a meeting. After the meeting and greeting each other, Carol Boys welcomed us all and gave a presentation showing all of the different projects going on and the plans for the future. Some of the people running these projects explained how successful they were for the members taking part.
It was wonderful meeting colleagues I have not seen for a long time and being excited to meet new ones. I really enjoyed chatting to them all. in the evening we all sat down and enjoyed a pizza meal together. Serenaded by a small group and a singer!
I want to wish all my Irish friends an enjoyable St Patricks Day! Personally I really enjoy Irish folk music. Don’t forget that this Sunday is Mother’s day.
