Wild Garlic and Battersea | Kate’s Blog

Over the past week, plants in the garden have been growing rapidly.

One plant that is really doing well is the wild garlic. This year, for the first time, we have decided to put it to some use. We have picked some of the leaves and will try to make wild garlic pesto. We will let you know how we get on.

On bank holiday Monday, we went to the old Battersea power station which has been converted into a huge space containing cafes, cinemas, beautiful shops, a children’s play area surrounded by elegant high-rise flats.

They’re still developing a people’s park. Reading the history of the power station, St Pauls Cathedral could have fit inside the turbine hall! The whole building was outstanding; it felt like stepping into the future. I really enjoyed my day.

Stay safe everyone,

Kate.
