Our first proper day out since lockdown! | Kate’s blog

Over the last few weeks I have spoken about going back to my various groups with the correct social protection.

This week for the first time since shutdown, I went out with my parents. We went to Cannizaro Park which is in the borough of Murton.

It is very beautiful there and has some of the rarest trees in the country! We took a packed lunch and went on a long walk it was most enjoyable.

For the past 10 years, I have taken a week’s holiday to attend a summer school called Enabled which is run by the Salvation Army and is based at a college near Cheltenham. The week is full of dance, music and drama activities. Sadly this year it was cancelled but I received in the post a full programme of events that I could follow on Facebook and YouTube. It was good to keep in touch with old friends.

Take care,

Love Kate
