Meet Rebecca…

Please introduce yourself…

My name is Rebecca and I am 19 years old.

Please tell us a little bit about where you live and who you live with.

I live near Bristol, by the sea. I support Bristol City.

I live with my Mum and Dad and Nanny.

When did you start making cards?

I write and make cards for Mummy for a long time. I wanted a project for the summer, so I’ve been making cards for friends and family for £2 each. I want to raise £50 for the Down’s Syndrome Association.

What materials do you use for your cards?

I have a special box of stickers and stamps and I have lots of colourful pens.

Is it fun making the cards personal to the people who’ve ordered them?

I like to know about the person so I can draw things they like.

A collage of three different hand made card designs. One has dogs on it; one has bees, and one has a smiley sun.

What other hobbies do you enjoy?

Swimming, dance and drama, Rock Choir, Gymnastics, Youth Club, watching films, singing karaoke.

Are you looking forward to anything in particular this summer, or for the rest of 2021?

I am looking forward to my birthday next month.

What ambitions do you have?

I am going to be a technical producer.

We’d like to say a very big thank you to Rebecca for choosing to support the DSA through her brilliant personalised card making project. We think her cards are amazing and we are very grateful.
To date, Rebecca has raised £80…congratulations!
