Goodbye to 2023, I hope you all enjoyed the festivities with your families and friends. I certainly did!
Just before Christmas I went to see the musical My Fair Lady at the Putney Arts Theatre. It was performed by the Putney Theatre Company. I thought the show was great and so did the rest of the audience. We also had our annual extended family Christmas get together. 22 of us sat down to a delicious meal! After the meal the tables were cleared away and we had party games! Everybody joined in and we had so much fun. It was great catching up with everybody and sharing the family news. All too soon it was time to leave, but I am already looking forward to next years party. Our local shops were all very busy during Christmas week and even our post-box was in a festive mood!
I must mention my favourite Christmas present. It is a lovely patchwork quilt made by my mum and sister Lorraine. It will keep me cosy and warm when the weather gets colder.
I am looking forward to 2024 and the exciting times and challenges it will bring.
I would like to wish everyone and all my colleagues at the DSA a very Happy New Year and may 2024 bring you good health and lots of happiness and love. I would also like to thank the DSA for all the support they have given me over the years.
