Everywhere around the United Kingdom, people were celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It has been joyful to see so many people getting together like this and having lots of street parties and enjoying each other’s company.
I found the ‘Trooping of the Colour’ spectacular and the fly past by the Red Arrows was breathtaking. I enjoyed watching the parade of people that represented the many decades of the Queen’s reign; it was lots of fun.
We joined in a family BBQ on Saturday and on Sunday, we went to a jubilee tea party at our local church. Mum and dad recalled memories of past Jubilee celebrations going right back to the coronation in 1973!
What a wonderful few days this has been; I will remember it for many years.
