Happy New Year from Our Voice Our Choice

It was good to see everyone.

We shared our news – everyone had a good Christmas.

This year World Down’s Syndrome Day is about ‘Leave No One Behind’

So we talked about ‘inclusion’ and feeling ‘included’ – we thought these words were difficult

Instead we talked about how it feels to be part of Our Voice Our Choice – this is what we said:

“Helpful with people, truthful, mind maps, good to share, time out, important, talking with us, equal, kind, respect, feel listened to, awesome, happy, proud, listening, okay to be different!”

The DSA is making some new information about Down’s syndrome. This will be for children at primary and secondary school.

We helped the DSA by looking at the resources – we told them what we think.

We finished the session with a very tasty bring and share lunch.
