I hope that, like me, you enjoyed watching the Tokyo Olympics!
I thought the new sports like skateboarding, BMX and mountain biking were amazing and exciting to watch!
It was great watching some of the athletes achieving their dreams and the team spirit they all showed.
This brought back wonderful memories for me. I was part of the greater London swimming team that took part in Special Olympics national games over the years. I competed in Cardiff, Glasgow, Leicester and Bath.
I remembered as a team how we supported each other win or lose; we were like a big family all through.
It was great thrill to win a medal. It was a greater thrill to know we had tried our very best and that we were a member of a great team.
