Last week I went with my sisters family to Whitstable for the day.
It was a beautiful day. It was sunny and windy. It was great to be by the sea again.
On Sunday the clocks went back so I enjoyed an extra hour in bed.
At the weekend we bought a pumpkin which we then cut out the inside then carved a scary face for Monday which was Halloween. In the evening we put a lightened candle inside the pumpkin and placed it outside our front door. I dressed up in my witches outfit ready to greet the trick or treaters.
Several families soon called with their children who were dressed up in their Halloween outfits. You should have seen the looks of surprise on their faces as they were greeted by a witch. But they were soon laughing as they took the choice of sweets. I offered them from a tray. It was all great fun.
