Presenting for World Down Syndrome Day | Kate’s Blog

What a busy week this has been! Last Thursday it was St Patrick’s Day. I put on my hat that has a Shamrock on and I listened to some of my favourite Irish Music.

Monday was the big day, it was World Down Syndrome Day! In the morning I watched the Down Syndrome International Going Forward programme. In the afternoon, I watched a session on the United Nations in New York. I had the privilege, as a DSi ambassador, of introducing some of the people. My part was pre recorded, so I was able to sit back and relax and listen to speakers from Japan, New Zealand, Uganda and Poland talking about inclusion in their countries for people who have Down’s syndrome. It was all very interesting. While all of this was going on, I was wearing my #LotsOfSocks!

Stay safe everybody,

Kate
