I just wanted to share some pictures and a little bit more information about my daughter Sophie.
She is 8 years old and attends mainstream school where she has 1:1 support. She is doing fantastic at school. She attended a mainstream nursery which was also fantastic and trained their staff in Makaton.
Sophie loves swimming and goes to her local performing arts group, which she adores.
She also helps her class learn a new sign each week.
She is also on the books of a specialist model agency that promote models with disabilities called Zebedee.
This is why inclusion matters to us…because she’s had all these positive experiences. Nobody treats her differently and it’s really helped her thrive.
