One of my favourite things to do before Christmas is to make a gingerbread house. It brings back wonderful memories of when my nieces and nephews were small. Mum, dad and I would make basic houses and then at our Christmas get together, the children would decorate individual houses with sweets and icing.
For the older ones, it was a competition to see which one looked the best! The younger ones got to eat the icing and more sweets in their mouths than going on the house! They all really enjoyed doing it! I will be thinking of them all this Christmas and hope to see them soon.
