Down2Earth Meeting – February 2020

We had an exciting time at our meeting last Sunday!  A photographer called Richard Bailey came and ran a very special photography workshop for Down2Earth members in the beautiful Normansfield Theatre.

A man who has Down's syndrome poses to be photographed. He sits on a chair in front of a white backdrop. The photographer faces the cameraman also has Down's syndrome

After everyone had introduced themselves and shared their news, we had a slideshow of some of the photos that had been entered into the My Perspective photographic competition. There were some amazing photos! We talked about what made them good and what people enjoyed about them.

A series of photographs of people who have Down's syndrome taking part in group activities.

The members then got into pairs and with the expert help of Richard, took photos of each other on their phones and cameras.

Great fun was had by all and you can see some of the results here!

See you at our next meeting in March!
