A Trip Across the Sea | Kate’s Blog

Last week was my favourite trip of the year for several years now. My dace troop, Larondina has made an annual visit to the monastery on Caldey Island to perform a dance programme for the brothers at the monastery. As well as visiting the island because of Covid restrictions, this is our first visit since 2019. So we were all very excited about this trip!

Caldey island lies off the coast at the town called Tenby in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The most exciting part of the journey is the trip across to the island in a small passenger boat. Especially if the sea is rough and the boat bobs up and down but this time the sea was calm and it was a pleasant crossing. Our dance performance was very well received and we returned to our hotel in Tenby, tired but happy. We are already looking forward to next years visit.

Stay safe everybody

Kate.
