The Down Syndrome Bill takes its next steps through Parliament today. It is important that everybody’s voice is heard in this debate.
As outlined here, there are areas where we believe that the guidance that is at the heart of the Bill could make a difference to the lives of people who have Down’s syndrome, alongside existing legislation.
We are looking forward to being involved in the development of the guidance together with other stakeholders.
The DSA believes that all people with a learning disability should be given the same opportunities.
