During the month of May, we’re asking our fundraisers to take on the distance of a marathon (or half-marathon) in any way they can whilst they are social distancing.
Can you do the distance of a marathon over the month of May?
This could be anything from a mile walk a day, to laps of your house or even skipping around your garden throughout the month. If you’ve got gym equipment at home, why not hop onto your treadmill, bike or rowing machine each day and tackle a set distance?
Setting yourself this challenge will help you keep fit while at home but will also help raise funds for the Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA). The DSA is the only charity in the UK dealing with all aspects of Down’s syndrome. Our aim is to support people who have Down’s syndrome to live full and rewarding lives.
How to fundraise from home:
Simply set up an online fundraising page using the link below.
Then ask your friends and family to sponsor you either my contacting them directly over the phone or sharing on social media. We’re only asking for a £50 fundraising target too (in celebration of our 50th Anniversary this year!) OR you can collect donations yourself and donate in one go, here.
You can have access to the DSA online fundraising resources and our Events Team are here to support you throughout your challenge. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org
