2020 is a really special year for DSA as we’re turning 50! In celebration of such a huge milestone, the Fundraising Team have planned some great events that you can get involved in during the year. However, we have been unable to celebrate this year so are looking forward a year! Join #Team21 in 2021 for a series of fantastic 50th fundraising events.
50 for 50
On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 March we will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day and DSA’s birthday in Salisbury for an extra special event. Not only will there be 50 people taking on a skydive for DSA with the help of GoSkydive (which is awesome enough in itself) but we will also be hosting a Picnic Party at Old Sarum Airfield Museum. There’s going to be live music, food and games for all to enjoy.

Challenge 50
Our Challenge 21 is getting an upgrade in 2021! Challenge 50 allows you to decide on your own challenge or event and how big or small you want it to be. You could decide to do 50 star jumps, bake 50 cupcakes or even a random act of kindness each day for 50 days.
Get your friends, family, work or school involved and see what different and exciting ideas you can come up with to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. As 50 years means gold, why not involve the colour in your event plans? You may even want to throw a golden themed DSA party to celebrate with everyone you care about!
You can find some ideas on our website here!
Action Challenge Series
We have partnered with Action Challenge on 3 of their amazing events. You can join #Team21 at London 2 Brighton Challenge, Thames Bath Challenge and the Thames Bridges Trek. These events are packed full of fun and really are a great way to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Click on the links above and support the DSA!
More information on the challenges and other events in the Action Challenge series can be found here.
Celebrate our 50th Anniversary YOUR way!
Remember, you can also put on your own event to celebrate our birthday. Why not hold a pub quiz style evening, or a ‘Come Dine With Me’ week with friends and family? You could even celebrate with some birthday cake and a collection at work or school. A sponsored silence or giving up your favourite thing for 21 days could also be your way to celebrate? Whatever you choose to do, we thank you for your support!

From Poppy's mum, Hannah: "This is Poppy just after she got her #tomatoglasses and safe to say she loves them just as much as mummy does because they don’t keep slipping off her face like all the other glasses we’ve had in the past."
"Poppy’s such a happy little girl and we couldn't be any more proud of all her achievements. She is very determined and very independent and I just love watching her grow up with her two siblings."
"Poppy is growing up to be just a kind, caring little girl who loves to dance and anything pink. Through our eyes she is perfection." ... See MoreSee Less
