We would love you to become a member and stand with us. The more members we have the more powerful our voice and also the more joyful and wide reaching our community becomes. You join online, very simply by clicking below.

Anyone can join in with fundraising! There are so many options to choose from – just unite your passion with your friends and family and people will be delighted to donate to your cause! Anything goes – bake sales, wearing odd socks, sponsored silences or poetry writing to walks, adventures, obstacle courses or skydives. Click below to see all of the current options.

Why should I become a member?

  • Join a community of people which will provide support, advice, friendship, advocacy.
  • Our members feedback helps us define the direction of the DSA.
  • Everything we do at the DSA is geared to supporting people with Down’s syndrome, their families and carers.
  • The more members we have, the stronger our voice when campaigning.

What do we provide our members?

  • Expert advice on all aspects of living with Down’s syndrome.
  • Up-to-date, relevant information. We have a wide range of resources already in existence and this list will continue to grow in relation to our members needs.
  • We provide assessments and written reports for children and adults through our Assessment Service. The costs of the individual assessment service is subsidised by the DSA for members.
  • Life-long support.

Fundraising

Do you want to help the Down’s Syndrome Association create the conditions that all people who have Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives? Terms & Conditions

The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) exists to provide information, advice and support to people with Down’s syndrome, their families and interested professionals.

We use photographs, audio clips and filmed images to promote awareness of campaigns, projects and general information via our websites, social media, publications and for general displays and presentations at conferences and fundraising or media events. We may also pass photographs/filmed images/audio clips on to other organisations or to the media, as we deem appropriate, after rigorously checking their intended purpose.

We ask that you complete the declaration below, so that we may use your photographs, audio clips and filmed images to promote awareness.

  1. I give permission to the Down’s Syndrome Association to use the photographs/film/audio clips taken of me.
  2. I grant the DSA permission to use the photographs/film/audio clips throughout the world in its/their original format or edited or altered in any way which the DSA deems appropriate.
  3. I give permission to the DSA to store/transfer the photographs/film/audio clips.
  4. I give permission to the DSA to store my contact details appropriately in case it needs to contact me.
  5. I give permission to the Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) and the photographer/filmmaker/recorder the right to photograph/film/record me and to use this in any way they consider reasonable at any time in the future. This includes (but is not limited to) reproducing these photographs/film in books, exhibitions, websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter and other social media; fundraising and advertising; for ongoing campaigns, new projects and any other purpose deemed reasonable at any future date
