Generous donation from Greggs shops in the South East

Rita Docker, Regional Charity and Social Co-ordinator South East, Greggs presented Kate Powell from the DSA with a cheque for over £4,400 for the charity.

The amazing amount of money was raised in the Greggs shops in the South East from donations from customers and money donated from Greggs.  The donation will go towards the charity’s employment programme WorkFit which is transforming the lives of many young people with Down’s syndrome by giving them work opportunities.

Rita commented: “This is the second year Greggs has supported the Down’s Syndrome Association and we were so pleased that the money is going to help young people with Down’s syndrome by supporting them to find employment, which can make such a difference to their lives.”

“Company support is vital to the work of our charity and we really appreciate the support Greggs and their customers have given to the DSA with this fantastic donation” said Sharon Gordon-Roberts, Director of Fundraising and Finance.
