Our current working arrangements

We wanted to update you all on our our working arrangements throughout this challenging period. 

We hope you and your families are all managing to stay safe and well. 

Helpline – 0333 1212 300

Our email and telephone Helpline service is open as usual. We are open Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm.

Our Helpline information officers and specialist advisers  welcome Helpline emails sent to info@downs-syndrome.org.uk.

Emails are reaching our wider team more rapidly than telephone calls, at present.

Our closed Facebook groups may also provide you with information and support.

We are pulling together all information, resources and advice on coronavirus here.

Main switchboard

Please call us on 0333 1212 300 if you want to speak to another member of the Down’s Syndrome Association team.

We are able to forward calls onto our staff team who are all now working from home.


UPDATE (14/09/2020) :The WorkFit team are back at work on a part-time basis working Tuesdays and Thursday. Please be assured that our Employment Development Manager, Alison Thwaite is available to help with any enquiries that you may have on the days when the team are not available.

As our Membership team is working from home, we will be sending out renewal notices by email.

Please ensure we have an up to date email address for you in our records.


Unfortunately as we are now working from home we are unable to send out any fundraising materials and fulfil some of our normal daily tasks.

We will endeavour to reply to your email or request as soon as we can.

Administration and finance

Supplier invoices will be paid as soon as possible, however there may be a longer than usual processing time.

We are always grateful for your kind donations and membership subscriptions. Cheques received by post will be securely stored however there may be a delay in paying them into the bank.
