“Let’s Talk About Relationships & Sex” Launch Days

As you may already be aware, we have just launched our ‘Let’s talk about Relationships and Sex’ training resource. To launch this exciting new resource we will be hosting two study days, one in London and one in Devon.

These FREE study day is for those who have purchased, or thinking about purchasing the ‘Let’s Talk about Relationships and Sex’ training resource. You will be given the opportunity to see what is included in the training pack, how to facilitate the resource and how it has been tailored to the learning needs of individuals with Down’s syndrome.

We will discuss…

  • Why have the DSA created a Relationship and Sex resource, is there a need? What concerns and issues have arisen that have contributed to its creation? Why is RSE important for individuals with a learning disability?
  • Looking inside the DSA’s ‘Let’s Talk about Relationships and Sex’ resource and viewing each topic that will be covered. How have the resource been tailored to meet the learning needs of individuals with Down’s syndrome?
  • Supporting behaviour positively. Understanding behaviour and strategies to promote change

Finally, the study day will include a short presentation on ‘supporting behaviour positively’.
