Greenwich Down’s Syndrome Group celebrate WDSD

To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day this year, the Greenwich Down’s Syndrome Group met up on a grey Sunday afternoon to walk several laps of the Flower Garden in Greenwich Park.  The plan was to do as many laps as possible, ideally walking at least 21.3km in total!  All ages and abilities joined in with the walk, even the toddlers were doing their bit!

After several laps of the Flower Garden, they decided to call it a day to have some well-deserved tea and some DSA logo cupcakes that were kindly donated from Happy Cakes of Oxford. Everyone agreed it was a great afternoon catching up with old friends, meeting new families and of course, raising funds and awareness for the DSA.  In total, the group walked a collective 116 km and raised £635.

We would like to say a very big thank you to the Greenwich Down’s Syndrome Group for this wonderful event and their support!
