Corporate income is a hugely important part of our fundraising strategy, and this is where we need your help. There are a number of ways you and/or your employer can support the DSA, be it through payroll giving, nominating the DSA as charity of the year, or organising team fundraising events.
Corporate support is beneficial for all parties involved, and below are some ideas of just how you could get involved:
Payroll Giving is a simple and easy way to give to the DSA. Regular donations made through payroll are taken from your salary before tax, and the tax man pays the difference. Every pound you give, will only cost you 80p, or only 60p if you are a higher rate tax payer.
Charity of the year
Charity of the Year is a prestigious title to achieve for a charity with an organisation, and is something the DSA are working hard to establish within local and national communities. The partnership of Charity of the Year greatly benefits both parties involved, and leads to a variety of positive outcomes. Through the partnership, charities can raise their profile within society and increase the reach of their services, as well as fundraise for the vital services they provide. The organisation that adopts the charity are actively demonstrating corporate and social responsibility, as well as generating good press about their company.
Charity of the Year can take place with any organisation, of any size. You can help the DSA by inquiring within your workplace/organisation/business about nominating the DSA as a charity of the year. Full support from the DSA’s dedicated fundraising team is available throughout the year, including a fundraising materials pack should you choose to hold any special events for us. Please do not hesitate to contact us in the office for more information about how to get involved, and how we can support you to do!
