Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood

by Kate Powell, Down2Earth Magazine editor

Mum and I went to visit the museum of Childhood it    was at Bethnal Green in London.

It was our first time   going  there and it was a lovely day out together.

We saw a   display of a village full of  houses, dolls dressed up and board   games. They are played  by everyone, young and old.

The collection was outstanding; I also saw doll houses, clothing, a rocking horse, learning and development games, mechanical  toys, paper models, puppets and toy theatres, teddies and much more.

Me and my mum had coffee and lunch, which was really nice.

It was good to look back on the toys of my childhood, there is a website you can go on…here is the link:

They had VandA gift shop too.

Lots of children were there, it was lovely to see. Me and mum enjoyed the Museum of childhood.

What  toys did you play  with  in your childhood  and  what was your favourite?

I played with a mixture of toys and games. I loved it. I had  lots of favourites it was great fun.
