For People with Down's Syndrome : My Perspective 2018

Thank you to EVERYONE who entered 2018’s competition!

Emily Buck won the 2018 My Perspective competition with her beautiful picture Seven Sisters:

Emily said of her winning image, Seven Sisters:

“I like the contrast between the blue sky and the white cliffs and the different shapes of the beach and sea.”

Christopher Diedo and Yassaman Ran Balouch were joint runners up:

Yasaman’s picture is called Spring Has Arrived!

Yasaman is from Iran.

She says:

“I love spring because trees are woken up with Sun rays coming at them. Spring is also my dear Mom’s birthday, and because of Nowruz (Persian New Year arriving on Vernal Equinox) everybody is happy and in a celebratory mood! I hear birds singing and I see friendship in peace in people’s faces.”

Christopher’s picture is called Prayer cards.

He says:

“My grandma read from these prayers every day. After she died my mum carried on reading them.”

Giuseppe Caccamese from Italy won the Stephen Thomas Award which is given to an international photographer.

This is his picture, called Sila Mountains:

Congratulations to all our finalists!
