For People with Down's Syndrome : Awareness Week 2018

19-25 March 2018

The theme in 2017 was What I Bring To My Community.

We want to hear about all the different ways you make a difference to the groups you belong to.

We want to know what being a part of them means to you…tell us why #InclusionMatters.

Here are some ideas:

Ask someone to take a photo of you with the group you belong to.
Perhaps you could ask them to all wear #LotsOfSocks?

Write down how you feel about being included on a piece of paper.
Perhaps you can hold the paper in the photograph?

Ask someone to video you talking to a friend or colleague.
Tell them why you love being part of the group. Ask them why they like having you in the group.

Draw a picture of how being included makes you feel.

Share your films, photos and pictures on Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #InclusionMatters.

Or you can send them to us:

email: info@downs-syndrome.org.uk
post: Communications Team, Langdon Down Centre, 2a Langdon Park, Teddington, Middlesex, TW11 9PS

You could belong to lots of different groups:

Your family
Your school or college
Your sports club
Your drama or dance group
Your workplace
