For Families and Carers : Mortgage Interest Support – help with paying the mortgage

If you are paying a mortgage, you may get help with your mortgage interest costs through Income Support, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, income-based Jobseekers Allowance, or Pension Credit. Universal credit will contain a payment to help with mortgage interest, but this will only be paid to those out of work. You may have to wait for some time before entitlement begins, and it may only be for a limited amount of time.

For information, go to Mortgage Interest Support on GOV.UK.
