About Down's Syndrome : Tell It Right® training for maternity settings – what is it all about?

When: 21 April 2021 | 11.00 am – 12.00 pm

All welcome.

Did you know that, over the last few years, the DSA has trained more than 6,000 midwives?

For many years we have been providing Royal College of Midwives accredited training for maternity settings across the UK and further afield.

Join us for a free 1-hour webinar when we will outline what a Tell it Right® session involves, share information on how we work to improve the quality of information about Down’s syndrome that is provided in NHS and other settings and ensure the lived experience of individuals who have Down’s syndrome and their families is included.

Last year’s Emmerdale storyline highlighted how crucial accurate and up to date information about Down’s syndrome is for women and couples during pregnancy. Alison Rogerson is mum to Harvey, the actor who plays Leo, the character, in the soap who has Down’s syndrome.

Alison will share her own experience of antenatal and maternity care and explain why she supports our aim of improving this experience for all new and expectant parents.
