Understanding Dual Diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome and Autism, Looking after Yourself and Getting Help

Geraldine White, chartered clinical psychologist, will discuss what we know about autism in people who have Down’s syndrome, assessment/diagnosis and interventions. Jane Mitchell’s workshop addresses how to look after yourself and how important this is for you and your children. Jane McIlveen will present on how to get the help you need. We know from our helpline services that many parents are not seeking or receiving the help they are entitled to.

To book your FREE place please contact Training@downs-syndrome.org.uk.

Refreshments & a light lunch will be provided.

You are welcome to share information in your networks but please be advised that the meeting is specifically for parent carers whose children have Down’s syndrome and also have additional, complex needs or autism spectrum conditions.
