About Down's Syndrome : Cortina [Oral history]

Cortina Pearcy – or Tina as her friends and family call her – celebrated her 63rd birthday in March.

She lives in a residential care home in Bournemouth and enjoys dancing, yoga, bowling and painting furniture.

She has a boyfriend called Clive who loves singing Elvis Presley songs, and is incredibly close to her brother Trevor, who joins her for this oral history.

Listen to Cortina and Trevor talk about her life:

This interview is an edited version of a longer oral history interview. The unedited version is stored in an archive held by the Down’s Syndrome Association. For more information about accessing the full interview contact: DSApress.office@downs-syndrome.org.uk
