By Kate Powell

My name is Kate Powell and I am the Down 2 Earth magazine editor at the Down’s Syndrome Association. I really enjoy my work here – I get on with everyone. I am also very good at introducing myself to new people. It’s lovely working as part of a team of people that I like.

Being at the DSA has made me feel that I have been making a difference to lots of people with Down’s syndrome. Though the Down 2 Earth magazine, I can make a difference to my readers. As the editor, the readers of the Down 2 Earth look up to me, as I can inspire them.

I love being part of an organization like the DSA; I definitely think I am a natural to the office. Before I came to the DSA, I did three year’s work experience in an office at college. I have been here at the DSA for 15 years – that’s an achievement.
