WorkFit is our new employment initiative designed to bridge the gap between employers and employees with Down’s syndrome. It is a tailored service dedicated to training employers about the learning profile of people with Down’s syndrome. The project provides a structured cohesive programme of support for both employer and prospective employee.

The WorkFit project is packaged into a one-stop central hub website which will be launched during our Awareness Week.

Through the hub employers will get free access to:

  • Bespoke pre-training and assessment –
    this will include information about Down’s syndrome and how to support adults with Down’s syndrome. It will cover the learning profile, health issue, communication and personal development.
  • Advice and guidance on developing roles for people with Down’s syndrome resources and aids;
  • Candidates who are ready to work or who are developing their skills for future work opportunities; and
  • Good practice strategies and the latest employment news.

There is no obligation and no fee to register your organisation onto the WorkFit programme. Wherever you are with your recruitment needs, we will support you throughout the process.
