If you are involved with special needs or disability - in whatever capacity (family member, carer, teacher, support worker, volunteer, charity organiser, etc.) - then their aim is that you might find some useful information here, or indeed contribute some useful information, to help make your life, or somebody else's, a little easier. The Care Quality Commission
Formerly Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
They regulate care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations. They aim to make sure better care is provided for everyone - in hospitals, care homes and people's own homes. They also seek to protect the interests of people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act.
