The Card Network run a scheme called the Cinema Exhibitors Association Card, which helps disabled people to visit the cinema by entitling them to a free ticket for their carer. This is a national scheme which is accepted in 90% of cinemas in the UK. This site gives details of how to obtain a card and requirements of card holders etc.
