Care and Support Debate

A national debate on the future of Care and Support was announced by the Prime Minister in May and the Department of Health intends to publish a Green Paper on a new care and support system in early 2009 - any changes to that system will affect every adult in England.

The Care and Support Debate has been focused on the provision and cost of care, mainly for older people, but also for those with disabilities. We have responded to highlight the situation for people with Down's syndrome.
