Kevin Kilbane to run London Marathon for Down's Syndrome Association

Down's Syndrome Association & DSActive patron Kevin Kilbane will be running the London Marathon in 2013 to raise funds for the DSA. Kevin, who notched up nearly 400 appearances playing football in the Premier League and won 110 caps for the Republic of Ireland, has been training solidly for the event since his retirement in late 2012.

He said of the 26 mile run:

 "I'm excited to be running the London Marathon for the DSA. Since my daughter Elsie was born, the DSA have been a continuous source of support and information, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to help them in return. It will of course be difficult; but I have been training hard and I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead."
