Members are able to have a say in how the Association is run. Although associate members do not have these rights, everyone gets the following benefits:

  • The Journal - a magazine packed full of information, news, and member stories that we produce three times a year
  • Conferences & Events - a chance to attend our events and conferences on a range of interesting subjects including health, education & social care
  • Information - a huge range of helpful leaflets and booklets on all aspects of living with Down's syndrome
  • Your questions answered - members can speak to our information team about any questions they have to do with having Down's syndrome

Type and Cost of Membership

A single membership covers a child with Down's syndrome and his/her parents or carer.

Payment options are:

  • Suggested annual subscription of £15 (GBP). Minimum of £4 (GBP)
  • Free membership is available for the first year (UK only)
  • Please note that overseas members must pay a minimum annual subscription of £30 (GBP)

How will you make your donation?


Available for the first year for parents and full-time carers in the UK


Please send me a standing order form (this cuts down our costs and allows us to spend more money on direct services)


After submission, you will be emailed a copy of this form - please send a printed copy together with your payment to our National Office. Please make cheques payable to 'Down's Syndrome Association'.


Please call the DSA on 0845 230 0372 to give us your card details once you have submitted your form.

We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and membership subscriptions, so please give as generously as you can.

Occasionally we may enable other charities to communicate with our members, if you prefer us not to do this, please tick this box
